Identified
The issue has been identified to be due to an Azure outage causing degraded performance and increased latencies for Kafka clusters in the West Europe region. Our team is actively monitoring this and working on mitigating the impact.

Investigating
Applications may experience failures when attempting to connect to clusters in Azure in the West Europe region. The problem started around 07:20 UTC. We are currently investigating the issue and will provide an update soon.
