Timeouts for some operations on Basic/Standard clusters in GCP/us-central1

Between Aug 19, 2021 @ 10:40 UTC - Aug 19, 2021 @ 11:35 UTC, we were experiencing timeouts for some metadata operations like CREATE_TOPICS for Basic/Standard clusters in GCP/us-central1.

We have fixed the issue, and are now monitoring to be sure it does not recur. As of 11:35 UTC, customers should see normal operations with Confluent systems.
