As the outage at cloud provider side is recovering, most Kafka clusters in Azure Australia East Region are back to service and under observation. We are actively monitoring the fleet health until the outage is fully recovered at cloud provider side.

The issue has been identified as an Azure outage caused by power/cooling issue in Australia East region. We are engaging with Azure on the outage and working on potential mitigation.

Investigating
We are experiencing issues related to Kafka Clusters in Azure/Australia East Region. The problems started at 08:30 UTC on 30 August 2023. These issues are related to an outage that Azure reported in the same region. We are currently investigating, and will update as we know more.
