Identified

The issue has been identified and we are working towards a fix. Additionally, customers who require assistance can open a case with Confluent support to assist with a workaround until a permanent fix is available.

Investigating

We are currently investigating an issue when expanding a Kafka cluster with self-serve expansion can fail for a subset of dedicated customers using Bring Your Own Keys (BYOK) on Amazon Web Services (AWS) across all regions. This issue was first observed around 14:00 UTC time.
