Timeouts for some operations on Basic/Standard clusters in GCP/us-central1

Between Aug 16, 2021 @ 19:19 UTC - Aug 17, 2021 @ 02:02 UTC, we were experiencing timeouts for metadata operations like CREATE_TOPICS for Basic/Standard clusters in GCP/us-central1.

We have fixed the issue, and are now monitoring to be sure it does not recur. As of Aug 17, 2021 @ 02:02 UTC, customers should see normal operations with Confluent systems.
