The issue has now been mitigated and the latency is under limit. The team is still looking into the root cause.

Identified

The Metrics API had a ~3-minute increase in error rates and latency at 17:07 UTC. The issues seem to reoccur periodically and last for a couple of minutes. We are actively investigating and monitoring.
All metrics APIs might see increased latency and error rates during this reoccurrence period of spikes.
